ERCAM Trackers will supply 500 MW of its new dual axis tracker from 2013 to 2017 to San Antonio, Texas.
ERCAM TRACKERS LLC was born of the agreement between Energia ERCAM and the OCI group, a South Korean company and owner of the contract for the development and construction of various Alamo plants with a total power of 500 MW.
ERCAM contributes to the Joint-Venture with its products (Dual axis, single axis, fixed and roof systems) both for the San Antonio project and for the whole American market.
As part of the contract ERCAM is committed to transfer its United States operations from San Francisco to San Antonio and to create in this city a new manufacturing center with a capacity of producing 250 MW / year for the next five years, consequently generating 120 new jobs.
A noteworthy fact is that starting up an ERCAM branch in San Antonio will lead the way for other solar manufacturing companies (solar panels and inverters), transforming San Antonio into a center of excellence in the photovoltaic energy field in America.
ERCAM TRACKERS LLC will break ground for the first 50 MW in the first quarter of 2013, maintaining, from that moment on, an installation rate of 10 MW / month.
