The One Axis + Elevation Angle Solar Tracker, Using a concrete footing foundation and having a maximum height of six meters, is characterized by its robustness and feasibility. The first installation of this sort was a 14 Mw plant, built in 2010. Its system, having a north-south rotation axis and including an adjustable elevation angle for the panels, moves the solar panels from east to west following a tracking system based on astronomic programming. It also has a “backtracking” feature and an automated programmable defence position. Depending on the location, the increased production this tracker can reach is 42%.
